Competition Team F.A.Q

Does my child have to know how to dance?

Yes. While we will have teams catering to levels, your child should have a certain level of understanding of dance, class structure/etiquette, and a growing work ethic as we can foster your child's passion and training better with these understandings.

What are the commitment requirements?

  • 3 Days a Week

  • Monthly Tuition

  • Regular attendance in D3 Training Program and choreography classes

  • Entry fees, costumes, dance wear

  • Travel and lodging expenses

  • August-June/Mid July

  • Must meet weekly and monthly training hours requirement for competition training standards and guidelines.

Does my child have to be enrolled in the Training Program classes in order to be on the competition team?

Yes, the training classes is where your child will build and grow their foundation and technique for their choreography classes.

When is my last day to enroll into the program or audition for the competition team?

We will no longer be accepting dancers for our competition team after September. All interested dancers must attend training classes in August for evaluation and level placements.

Will there be a final audition day?

Yes, your dancer will be given a designated audition day and time within their training program schedule. Your dancer must attend this final audition date in order to be placed into our teams.

Will there be a parent meeting?

There will be a team meeting for the parents of dancer's interested in joining our competition team. That date and time will be given after enrollment and will be scheduled for the end of August or start of September.

However, we highly encourage families to contact us and discuss any questions about our program to ensure we are placing your child where they best fit.

How to I Register My Child for the Competition Team?

Those interested in joining our competition team should enroll into the D3 Training program on our website or within our D3 app. From there, you will receive a class schedule for your dancer to come and take class as we begin evaluation to determine your child's group and level.

Is there a Competition Team Packet?

Yes, however that packet will be provided to parents once registered for the D3 Training Program and/or have spoken with Coach D via phone meeting. This packet will have more through info on expectations, services, fees, and more.
