Dedrick Perkins - Owner/Instructor/Choreographer
Dedrick is the Founder and Artistic Director of D3 Dance Entertainment, where his passion for dance, performance, and youth development has inspired dancers and families since 2014. His mission is to provide exceptional training while building confident, disciplined, and well-rounded performers both on and off the stage.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Dance, Dedrick has built a diverse career spanning competitive dance, musical theater, professional sports entertainment, choreography, and dance education. His professional experience includes performing and coaching in the NBA, where he has helped develop dancers while creating exciting game-day entertainment for thousands of fans.
Known for his high-energy teaching style and commitment to technical excellence, Dedrick believes every dancer deserves quality instruction in a supportive environment that encourages confidence, creativity, accountability, and personal growth. His classes emphasize strong fundamentals while preparing students for performance opportunities, competitions, community events, and the professional entertainment industry.
Under his leadership, D3 Dance Entertainment has become more than a dance studio—it's a place where dancers discover their potential, build lifelong friendships, and develop the skills and character needed to succeed both in dance and in life.

Kionna Perkins - Head Competition Team Choreographer/Instructor
Kionna is an accomplished professional dancer, choreographer, and educator whose career has taken her to some of the most prestigious stages in the entertainment industry. With a passion for excellence and years of professional performance experience, she brings world-class training and inspiration to every dancer she teaches.
Her impressive performance résumé includes dancing with the world-renowned Radio City Rockettes, where she performed as a member of the ensemble in one of the most iconic productions in live entertainment. She has also performed as an NBA dancer with the Charlotte Hornets Honey Bees and currently represents the professional dance industry as an NFL cheerleader.
Beyond the sports and entertainment world, Kionna has been selected for numerous nationally recognized commercial and live performance opportunities, including work with Victoria's Secret and other high-profile productions. Her versatility, professionalism, and technical excellence have made her a sought-after performer across multiple areas of the entertainment industry.
As an accomplished choreographer and nationally respected dance adjudicator, Kionna travels the country judging elite dance competitions while mentoring dancers and studios at the highest levels. Her eye for performance quality, artistry, and technical precision allows her to help dancers unlock their full potential while building confidence both on and off the stage.
